Precision Rebuilds ArcelorMittal #1 Reheat Furnace

ArcelorMittal Cleveland is a fully-integrated and one of the most productive steel mills still operating in the United States. Considering the facility was built in 1913, its machinery and operational equipment continually undergoes updating and maintenance to sustain its steel production of nearly 3.6 million tons of raw steel a year.

Precision Environmental provides complete and selective refractory removal and replacement during ongoing furnace maintenance, and the occasional major relines. Highly experienced laborers, carpenters and operating engineers utilizing specialized equipment are required to complete this work in a hot, confined furnace area.

Multiple shifts demand large groups of skilled tradesmen and supervision capable of meeting critical schedules. Precision performs general construction and mill services including scaffolding, concrete demolition, drilling, sawing and replacement, asbestos abatement and supplemental tradesmen support.

Our team just finished a major rebuild of the 84" hot strip mill of the #1 reheat furnace, as part of our ongoing work with ArcelorMittal Cleveland.
